Under the supervision of the Clinical Director and OR Charge Nurse, ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization processes. Demonstrates good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique, equipment, instruments, procedures, and supplies used in the operating room. Able to work under pressure and in situations requiring patience, tact, and endurance. Provides ongoing communication with Operating Room staff and communicates special equipment needs. Monitors the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation, assists with room turnovers between surgical cases, and helps with preference card updates and case picking.
