About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to support the accounting function at a growing manufacturing company. You'll be responsible for the month-end close, keeping our books accurate and audit-ready, and playing a key role as we implement new processes to support our growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both doing the work and making it better.
What You'll Do
- Own the monthly close — prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset activity
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank, credit card, AP, AR, and inventory
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for leadership
- Oversee AP and AR processes and partner with other accounting support staff
- Prepare sales and use tax returns and support other compliance filings
- Support year-end close, audit/tax preparation, and outside CPA requests
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting through the close
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables)
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- Highly organized, accurate, and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, professional communicator who can work directly with leadership
