Position Summary:
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts according to specifications. This role is key to producing accurate, high-quality fabricated components on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and back gauges.
- Inspect parts for accuracy using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and tolerances.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- 1 years of press brake or sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and work with precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
Pay Based on Experience: $17 - $20/hr.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.91 - $21.39 per hour
