What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at Emergency Veterinary Care Center?
REPORTS TO: Hospital Manager

As an Inventory Specialist, you’ll play a vital part in keeping your hospital running smoothly by ensuring the right supplies are on hand and systems stay accurate and efficient.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and reconcile physical inventory with EzyVet digital inventory
- Complete physical inventory every 1–2 weeks
- Place, receive, and manage orders to ensure proper stock levels
- Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate returns or expired item removal
- Approve order invoices and track inventory expenses
- Train new qualified team members
- Ensure proper handling and logging of controlled substances
- Attend regular meetings with both corporate and hospital leadership related to inventory
- Participate in quarterly individual check-ins with your Location Manager and Director of Technology/Finance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be employed full-time with EVCC (minimum average of 36 hours/week)
- Minimum of 1 year of continuous employment with EVCC
- Currently a Level 3 Technician or Assistant
- Controlled Substance handling and logging sign-off completed
- Strong knowledge of EzyVet and online ordering systems
- Highly organized, reliable, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating with hospital leadership
COMPENSATION:
- Increase of $1.50/hr
