Medical Billing Specialist
Staunton, VA | Full-Time | $19–$22/hour based on experience

Emergency Service Support (ESS) is a local medical billing company serving six EMS providers throughout Virginia. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of their work and can consistently meet clear expectations.
This is a Monday–Friday position with a stable schedule, professional work environment, and a small team where your contribution matters.
The Results We Expect
Success in this position is measured by four key outcomes:
1. Accurate Call Log
Maintain a complete and accurate call log for all six EMS providers, ensuring calls are properly entered, assigned, and ready for billing.
2. Consistent Billing Production
Meet the established weekly billing quota while maintaining the level of accuracy expected by ESS.
3. Patient Follow-Up
Mail required requests for information to patients and complete timely follow-up to obtain the information needed to move accounts forward.
4. Documentation Quality
Screen reports for documentation errors or missing information before billing, identifying issues that could result in claim problems or lost revenue.

Medical billing, healthcare, insurance, or administrative experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right person.
