Lead Restoration TechnicianEmergency Restoration & Cleaning (ERC)Rancho Cordova, CAEmergency Restoration & Cleaning is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Restoration Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing mitigation projects while maintaining high-quality standards, customer satisfaction, and insurance program compliance.We are looking for technicians who take pride in their workmanship, understand the urgency of mitigation services, and want to grow with a stable, locally owned company.Position OverviewThe Lead Technician will respond to water, fire, mold, and bio-hazard mitigation projects, lead field technicians, communicate directly with adjusters, and ensure all work meets IICRC standards. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesRespond to water, fire, mold, and bio-hazard losses, including participation in after-hours on-call rotation and overtime when required.Complete accurate scopes of work and contact assigned adjusters for approvals.Maintain compliance with IICRC standards throughout project duration.Inventory and ensure assigned vehicle is stocked with required equipment, products, and supplies for all assignments.Sketch all damaged rooms and any additional rooms requiring repairs due to continuous flooring. Sketches must include all windows, doors, and cabinets.Inform Production Manager if layout of structure is complex and requires advanced sketching.Make direct contact with adjusters to obtain scope approvals.Ensure all items outside program rules receive proper authorization before work is performed.Complete monitoring of equipment and moisture content using MICA drying software.Leave jobsite clean and orderly; document work performed in PSA.Maintain clean and organized vehicle and equipment appearance.Call Production Manager prior to leaving project to provide next-day task updates and confirm appointment times.Maintain clear daily two-way communication with Production Manager, especially regarding customer concerns.Identify need for subcontractors (asbestos testing, abatement, soft goods, etc.) and communicate promptly.Train, supervise, and manage daily task assignments for technicians.Ensure proper documentation, photos, and file compliance for insurance program standards.Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence on every job.Required Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of IICRC standards (WRT certification preferred; ASD, AMRT a plus)Experience scoping mitigation projects for insurance carriersExperience using MICA drying software (or similar moisture tracking software)Bonus: Familiarity with DocuSketch technologyStrong leadership and team management abilitiesExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to communicate professionally with adjusters, customers, and managementValid driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environmentsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceOvertime opportunities401(k) plan with company match after 90 daysMedical, dental, and vision insuranceOngoing training and certification supportLeadership growth opportunitiesSupportive team environmentCompany DescriptionPlease check us out at www.ercsac.com
