Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
- Take dental X-rays, learn intake, phones, chairside assistance, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining organized medical records for seamless clinic operations, while cross-training in all jobs in the dental office. Opportunity to learn everything from case presentation and office management to direct assisting of advanced dental procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and answer their questions with clarity and empathy.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
