- One full-time position
- One part-time position — Saturdays and Sundays only
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and properly sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Take digital X-rays and accurately document patient information.
- Present treatment plans in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Review provider-recommended treatment, pricing, payment options, and next steps with patients.
- Answer patient questions and help patients understand the importance of completing recommended treatment.
- Provide postoperative instructions and oral hygiene education.
- Maintain OSHA, infection control, and sterilization standards.
- Support efficient patient flow and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Provide a positive and reassuring experience for patients receiving emergency dental care.
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience is required.
- Current Ohio dental radiography certification is required.
- Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial options with patients is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills.
- Comfortable discussing treatment costs and helping patients move forward with care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency dental environment.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice-management software is a plus.
- Availability for evening and weekend hours, based on the position.
- Part-time applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
