Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for processing payroll, supporting the payroll staff, and assisting with other payroll or accounting-related tasks.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Process payroll(s) timely and accurately
- Support payroll staff and assist with the verification of payroll data for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain payroll data files and perform audits of year-end tax forms
- Assist with the maintenance or implementation of payroll system(s)
- Assist in payroll integration of acquisitions and new contracts
- Research and resolve payroll tax notices
- Collaborate with the treasury accountant on the payroll funding process
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and update actual expenses
- Prepare and reconcile the month-end journal entries and schedules
- Assist with the budgeting process of payroll-related expenses
- Provide support for the annual financial audit
- Assist with other month-end tasks, ad hoc projects, and reports as needed

- Intermediate Excel skills are a must

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 1-3 years of experience working in areas of accounting or finance preferred
