Campus Canvasser

Join students across the country as we launch Raise Hell for Pell—a student-led campaign to educate our communities about threats to Pell Grants and other federal financial aid programs, raise awareness about college affordability, and connect students to the growing movement for affordable, accessible, and relevant higher education.

We're looking for students who care about making college more affordable and want to help spread the word on their campus.

Applications are open now through August 5th.

What You'll Do: 

• Attend a 45-minute campaign orientation to learn about the Emergency Campaign to Support Higher Education, Schools Drop Ice and the Raise Hell for Pell campaigns.
• Distribute posters and flyers on your campus between August 24–29 (on public bulletin boards and in other permitted locations).
• Invite a team of students from your campus and your personal network to attend our Virtual Town Hall on College Affordability on September 1st. 
• Attend the September 1 Virtual Town Hall yourself.

Stipend

Students who complete the activities above will receive a $250 stipend paid after the 9/1 Virtual Town Hall.

Not on campus that week?

If your college or university isn't in session during the week of August 24–29, but you're interested in future paid organizing opportunities, we still encourage you to apply. We'll keep your application on file and contact you when the next round of campus canvassing begins.

Emergency Campaign to Support Higher Education is building a movement that unites students, faculty, staff, and their unions with alumni, community organizations, and reform-minded college leaders. All of us share a stake in making college affordable, protecting campus freedom, and defending research that saves lives. We are also working with the Schools Drop ICE campaign, a growing movement to stop & prevent FLOCK from racially profiling, harassing, and detaining students on our campuses
