The Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys while managing court filings, legal documents, attorney calendars, billing activities, and client communications. REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant experience within a law firm
- Experience with state and federal electronic court filings; familiarity with Colorado, Texas, and California court systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, and court rules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with document management, legal billing, and attorney time entry systems
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while effectively supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Prepare and electronically file legal documents in state and federal courts, including Colorado, Texas, and California jurisdictions
- Manage attorney calendars, coordinate depositions, hearings, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements
- Process attorney time entries, billing requests, expense reports, and other administrative functions
- Perform conflict checks, open new client matters, and maintain organized electronic and physical client files
- Monitor litigation deadlines and proactively manage priorities to ensure timely completion of assignments
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel to facilitate efficient case management
- Anticipate attorney needs while providing proactive administrative and litigation support throughout the lifecycle of each matter
- Maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism in all client interactions
- Support the Business and Distribution Litigation team with additional administrative and special projects as needed
