Job Summary
Join our boutique Pilates studio, Emerge, as a Part-Time Reformer Pilates Instructor, where your passion for movement and intentional teaching will inspire clients to feel strong, confident, and supported. In this elevated, semi-private setting, you will lead thoughtfully designed reformer classes, guide clients of varying experience levels, and create a welcoming, community-driven environment. Your expertise will help clients improve strength, flexibility, and body awareness while delivering a personalized and high-quality experience. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to grow with a small, expanding studio.
Responsibilities
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging semi-private Reformer Pilates classes (up to 4 clients)
- Provide clear, confident cueing for beginners through intermediate clients
- Create intentional, well-paced class flows that align with client needs and goals
- Demonstrate proper form and technique to ensure safety and maximize results
- Offer modifications and progressions for injuries, limitations, and mixed fitness levels
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and elevated studio environment
- Build relationships with clients and contribute to a strong sense of community
- Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and proper equipment usage
Skills
- Proven experience teaching Reformer Pilates in a group or semi-private setting
- Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, and body mechanics
- Ability to design thoughtful and effective class programming
- Confident in managing class flow, pacing, and client engagement
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct effectively
- Comfortable working with a wide range of clients, including beginners and those with limitations
- Experience with other fitness modalities (Yoga, Personal Training, etc.) is a plus but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified through Balanced Body, BASI, or STOTT Pilates
- 3 years of Reformer Pilates teaching experience
- CPR/AED certified
- Experience leading small group or semi-private classes
Compensation & Perks
