We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Program Coordinator to support the management of daily operations at our residential addiction recovery program. This key role assists in program administration, resident support, and staff coordination, ensuring smooth operation of recovery activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping individuals on their recovery journey. Flexibility is essential as the role may require weekends and various shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Support and Operations:
- Assist the Program Coordinator in managing the day-to-day operations of the residential recovery program.
- Help organize resident schedules, group therapy sessions, workshops, and other recovery-based activities.
- Communicate regularly with residents, staff, and external partners to address any logistical issues or concerns.
- Support the intake and orientation process for new residents, ensuring they understand the program structure, rules, and expectations.
- Assist in tracking resident progress and provide support, escalating concerns to the Program Coordinator or clinical team when needed.
- Help facilitate resident meetings, group sessions, and recreational activities.
Administrative and Logistical Support:
- Handle administrative duties, including scheduling, record-keeping, and data entry for resident files and program documentation.
- Assist with preparing reports on program performance, resident progress, and key outcomes.
- Manage and track program supplies, ensuring necessary materials are available for daily activities.
- Help coordinate staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all program activities.
Staff and Event Coordination:
- Provide support to program staff in fulfilling their daily responsibilities.
- Assist with staff training, meetings, and performance reviews as directed by the Program Coordinator.
- Plan and organize special events, workshops, or outings to enhance residents' recovery experience.
- Coordinate logistical aspects of events, including transportation, scheduling, and supplies.
Resident and Program Crisis Management:
- Assist with managing crises by providing support, de-escalating situations, and reporting concerns to supervisory staff.
- Participate in crisis intervention training and assist in handling emergencies when they arise.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification in addiction recovery (e.g., CADC) is a plus.
- Adult Peer Support Specialist certification or eligibility is a plus.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or support role in a recovery residence, treatment center, or healthcare setting.
- Experience working with individuals in recovery or substance use disorders preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and client management software.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong team leadership skills and a servant leadership approach.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (2-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
