What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Emerge Ketamine?
Emerge Ketamine is expanding — and we need an operator who can grow with us.
As Director of Operations, you will be the operational backbone of Emerge Ketamine as we scale our network of interventional psychiatry clinics. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who has lived and breathed ketamine infusion, Spravato, or TMS operations — and who is ready to shape the business infrastructure of a growing multi-site organization. You will work directly with clinic leadership to ensure every location delivers a consistent, compassionate, and compliant patient experience while driving the strategic growth of the Emerge brand in the community.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Multi-Site Clinic Operations
▸ Oversee day-to-day operational performance across all Emerge Ketamine clinic locations
▸ Build and implement standardized workflows, SOPs, and quality protocols for ketamine infusion, Spravato (esketamine), and TMS services
▸ Partner with medical directors and clinical leads to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant patient care delivery
▸ Lead new clinic launch planning — site readiness, staffing, equipment, credentialing, and payer enrollment
▸ Monitor operational KPIs (utilization, scheduling efficiency, patient outcomes, throughput) and drive continuous improvement
Strategic Growth & Expansion
▸ Serve as an operational architect for Emerge's expansion strategy, identifying scalable systems as locations grow
▸ Collaborate with executive leadership on market entry planning, pro forma modeling, and operational due diligence for new sites
▸ Develop and maintain a playbook for rapid, consistent clinic launches across new geographies
▸ Support budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management across the network
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
▸ 3 years of operations leadership in interventional psychiatry (ketamine infusion, Spravato/esketamine, or TMS)
▸ Demonstrated experience managing multi-site or multi-department clinical operations
▸ Deep knowledge of REMS program compliance (Spravato), Ketamine protocols, or TMS treatment workflows
▸ Track record of building external referral networks and community partnerships
▸ Experience with clinical operations metrics, scheduling systems, and EMR platforms
▸ Strong team leadership with direct supervisory experience
Preferred
▸ MBA or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field strongly preferred
▸ Experience with de novo clinic launches or healthcare expansion projects
▸ Background working with payer enrollment, insurance credentialing, or prior authorization processes
