'25/'26 Part-Time JustLead Afterschool AmeriCorps Positions - REAPPLICATION ONLY

We're pleased to announce that Emerald Youth was approved to receive AmeriCorps funding for the 2025/2026 year. Essentially, this means we will pick back up where we left off with AmeriCorps in April.

 
IMPORTANT: With that said, it is important to note that while AmeriCorps funding has been approved, it has not yet been awarded. Even if there is a delay in receiving this funding award, Emerald Youth will start everyone on time August 4th but as an employee rather than an AmeriCorps member. If started as an employee, you would receive an hourly rate of $15 until the formal AmeriCorps award comes through at which point you would be classified as an AmeriCorps member and pay will go from an hourly wage to a living allowance pay structure (same as before and much like a salary, i.e., the amount deposited each pay day would be the same regardless of fluctuating hours). You'd also begin counting service hours towards AmeriCorps for education award purposes.

There are 3 kinds of AmeriCorps positions available afterschool with Emerald Youth this year. Ideal availability is between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday:

• General Afterschool Role - Lead varying structured learning and enrichment activities afterschool with elementary or middle school students. 
• Learning Role - Perfect for aspiring teachers and/or to fulfill a teaching practicum. Facilitate components of and implement incentives for elementary and middle school students as part of the on-site computer learning lab.
  
• RecSports Role - Perfect for those interested in sports, health, and fitness. Plan and implement structured health and recreational activities for both elementary and middle school students.
