What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Abuse Counselor position at Emerald Therapy Center?
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist with clinical intakes to ensure medical necessity is met
- Impact the treatment planning process from intake to discharge based on client diagnosis and needs present
- Provide individual, family and group therapy, as needed
- Maintain complete and accurate client records per regulations
- Ensure services provided are necessary and evidence-based, and within the ethical and legal scope of practice
- Coordinate care with other service providers, as appropriate
- Participate in case consultation as indicated

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an active Kentucky state license/s in one of the following credentials:
- Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP).
- Previous experience in clinical counseling or social work setting preferred.
