A well-established Bellevue law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney (4972) with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its team. This full-time role supports multiple attorneys and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil litigation matters. The firm is prioritizing this hire due to an upcoming attorney transition but intends to finalize a paralegal placement first.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
- Research case law, regulations, and statutes
- Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and settlement agreements
- Prepare for and attend trials, arbitrations, mediations, and other court proceedings
- Conduct and respond to discovery
- Communicate with clients, provide updates, and address concerns
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and hearings under attorney supervision
- Develop legal strategies and analyze conflicts in legal matters
- Negotiate on behalf of clients
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- 2–5 years of litigation experience
- Strong ethics, integrity, and professionalism
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing
- Experience in moot court or law review is a plus
- Solid understanding of civil litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with NetDocs, Tabs3, or Clio is a plus
- Interest or experience in real estate disputes, boundary issues, quiet title actions, easements, construction, land use, and creditor/debtor rights preferred
This position offers the chance to work closely with experienced attorneys, gain exposure to complex litigation matters, and contribute meaningfully to a respected legal team. The annual billable requirement is 1,500 hours.
