What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beverage Server position at Emerald Queen Casino?
The Beverage Server is responsible for providing superior guest service to patrons of our casino while serving beverages. Duties include take beverage orders and upselling, accepting money and making change, processing credit transactions, operating POS system and assisting the bartenders with stocking and maintaining a clean work area. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.
Starting wage is $16.77/hr increasing to $17.31/hr tips at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Bartending School (helpful)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six months previous cocktail serving experience is required
- Must be able to work with POS systems
- Must have the ability to work well with guests and co-workers
- Must have good communication and cash handling skills
- Must have valid TIPS card and a valid Washington State food handler’s card
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a tray and carry up to 25 pounds
- Must have the mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
