Emerald Queen Casino is seeking a skilled and service-oriented Bartender to join its dynamic Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mixing and serving beverages, maintaining a well-stocked and clean bar area, and delivering exceptional guest service. This role also includes accurate inventory tracking, handling transactions, and supporting team operations—including barback duties as needed. A commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and creating a welcoming atmosphere is essential to uphold the high standards of guest satisfaction that define the Emerald Queen experience. EQC will assist you with with a IIIB Gaming License!
Starting wage is $17.02/hr tips increasing to $17.61/hr tips at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bartending School recommended; experience may substitute for schooling.
- One year experience bartending.
- Must know all cocktails, beers, wines and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Good communication and cash handling skills are required.
- Must have a valid Washington State food handler’s card.
- Must be neat, clean, professional, and able to work well with customers and coworkers.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment.
- Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
All applicants must obtain a Class III B license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
