Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Responding to the prescription phone line and patient portal messages
- Initiating medical care as outlined by provider orders and Emerald Psychiatry protocols
- Documenting patient visits
- Scheduling appointment for providers
- Updating patient information in the EMR, etc.
- Acting as a liaison between providers and patients when needed
- Communicating with pharmacies
- Delivery a quality patient focused experience
- Cross-train with support staff roles to perform back-up clerical tasks
Medical Assistants Requirements
- Perform the following: collecting lab samples, drawing blood, checking patient vitals, urine analysis, administering medication, and treatments per provider orders
Medical Assistant Required Experience and Education include high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of experience at a healthcare facility in a Medical Assistant role, working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations, excellent communication skills both verbally and written, must be proficient in Microsoft Suite including Teams and Outlook, and AdvancedMD a plus.
Ability to work in a shared team environment is a must. Remote work is not available for this position.
This is a full-time position.
Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $23.00
