Responsibilities of an Admissions Director:
- Coordinate and oversee the admissions process for new residents.
- Meet with prospective residents and their families to provide information about our services and amenities.
- Conduct tours of the facility and explain the admission procedures.
- Obtain necessary paperwork and documentation for admission.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to assess resident needs and ensure appropriate placement.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff throughout the admissions process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to admissions.
Qualifications of an Admissions Director:
- Previous experience in admissions or healthcare administration, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home admissions.
