We are looking for Behavior Technicians in the Tacoma, Washington area to work at our special needs school located at 1819 E 72nd Street. Join a fantastic and supportive team as we grow!
These are full-time positions. You will be working 1-on-1 with one of our many students, helping him/her access the academic instruction and therapeutic services they need.
Our Behavior Technicians will be trained to become skilled at understanding student behavior and following a behavior support plan that facilitates success for every learner in the classroom. As a Behavior Technician at Emerald Learning, you will:
- Provide direct care to clients in a school setting;
- Be responsible for preventing and intervening with dysregulated behaviors; and
- Learn specialized behavior approaches and implement behavioral strategies under the guidance of master’s level therapists, social workers and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
You will need the following minimum qualifications to be considered:
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Proficient in the use of modern office technology;
- Have reliable transportation; and
- Must clear a current background check.
