Emerald Island Garden Center is seeking Landscape Laborers to join our team in Cocoa, FL. We are looking for hardworking, reliable individuals with a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, pruning, mulching, gravel installation, etc.
- Cleaning and maintenance of vehicles
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain a positive attitude in a challenging environment
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Ability to work in the heat
- Dependable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. or more (or more if necessary) repeatedly throughout the day
- Reliable attendance – on time attendance is a must
- Ability to handle ladders and other landscape equipment safely throughout the day
- Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and management regarding problems, needs, concerns, etc. via phone or in writing
- Professional appearance – groomed professional appearance; polite demeanor; able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with coworkers and supervisors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
