What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aggregate Equipment Shop Hand position at Emerald Equipment Systems?
Emerald Equipment Systems is looking to add a Shop Hand to our team, for immediate full-time employment.
Emerald Equipment Systems is a full-service equipment sales and service company serving the needs of the aggregate and materials processing industries throughout the northeast.
The Shop Hand position will assist the shop personnel in a variety of functions. This position will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing machines and associated paperwork, washing equipment upon arrival to shop, assisting shop personnel with light mechanical work as needed, and any other support functions as determined by the Shop Foreman. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, capable of working without direct supervision, and willing to assist with a variety of shop-related tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process incoming and outgoing equipment, prepare damage reports, take photographs.
- Pressure wash equipment to prepare for maintenance in shop.
- Assist shop mechanical staff with light mechanical work as needed and under their supervision.
- Basic computer skills - Microsoft Word/Excel, email
- Ability to stand for duration of shift, work outside, and lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work independently, without supervision, and remain productive throughout the day.
