Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and irrigation system installation and repair
- Lead a team of landscapers and horticulture specialists to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and environmental standards
- Oversee the installation of landscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and water features
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper use of tools and machinery
- Conduct quality inspections to guarantee the highest standards of lawn care, gardening, tree care, and overall landscape presentation
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in landscaping techniques and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project needs and provide updates on progress
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or related construction fields
- Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control
- Expertise in tree care including pruning, planting, and health assessment
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of gardening principles and horticulture best practices
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
