Healthcare Assistant

THE BASICS

Pay: $15–$18 an hour

Schedule: Shifts vary but always fall within business hours

• October–February: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• March–September: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

The schedule is set far in advance, making it easy to plan life around work. Weekend shifts follow the same posted business hours.

• We also provide study materials and pay for the exam so you can earn a limited BMO Xray license; once you pass, you'll have the chance to take Xrays in our clinics, and the license is yours for your career

YOUR DAY AS A HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

You begin each shift welcoming patients, putting them at ease as you collect vitals, medical histories, medications, and understand their chief concern; throughout the day, you'll run rapid tests (COVID, Flu, Strep, Mono, Urinalysis, pregnancy), prepare for and assist with procedures like laceration repairs, abscess drainages, and IV hydration, and you'll keep the clinic humming by answering phones and coordinating details with patients and other medical offices-your calm presence, accuracy, and friendly professionalism ensure every patient receives timely, compassionate care.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

• Driver's License
• High School Diploma
• Preferred: Bilingual and strong customer service/communication skills
