Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine severity and prioritize treatment based on triage protocols.
• Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, suturing, and basic life support to stabilize patients.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic to document clinical findings, treatment plans, and discharge instructions accurately.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging including CT scans and radiographs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with specialists across disciplines such as cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, and trauma medicine for comprehensive patient care.
• Manage acute pain and facilitate appropriate interventions for trauma or medical emergencies in the ER setting.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty areas such as Critical Care or Trauma Medicine.
• Proven experience working in an emergency room environment, preferably within a Level I or Level II trauma center.
• Proficiency with EMR systems including Epic and other digital diagnostic tools such as CT and radiography interpretation.
• Strong skills in airway management, vascular access procedures, and acute care protocols.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical evaluation techniques essential for rapid decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $270.00 - $285.00 per hour
