Job Overview:
Join us as a Operations Lead, also known as an Operations Team Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing on-site technical support at our facility in Austin, Texas to ensure the seamless execution of experiments. Working under the guidance of the Shift Manager, you will lead, mentor and support a team of 15-25 members, fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency.
This position challenges you to utilize your strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and technical prowess to manage and optimize lab operations. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of the operational systems, processes, and technologies that drive our remote/automated lab activities.

Your Key Responsibilities...
- Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in the laboratory, aiming to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, making data-driven decisions to refine processes and enhance performance.
- Mentor and support team members, promoting a culture of learning and growth within a high-performance fast-paced environment.
As an Operations Team Lead, you should...
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience leading teams, ideally in settings that demand high productivity and stringent quality controls.
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in environments regulated by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or similar standards in the life sciences/biotechnology sector.
- Are adept at applying systematic troubleshooting methods to solve complex issues.
- Are interested in, or have experience with, learning computer programming to enhance operational efficiency. No prior programming experience is required but is a welcomed bonus!
- Are knowledgeable about industry best practices, such as Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Enjoy the dynamism and challenges of a startup environment.
Compensation and Work Schedule:
- Annual Salary: $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Work Shifts: Evening shift with structured weekly schedules from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.
