We are looking for a part-time physical therapy aide to ideally work on Wednesday and Friday potentially from 8am to 6pm (lunch from 1pm to 2pm). *Our schedule varies based on our case load and when patients are booked. Training pay will be $20/ hour and increase to at least $22 once independent. Raise within one month, or sooner, based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in providing patient care and treatment (exercise instruction, apply modalities of hot packs, cold packs, and TENS)
- Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly / professionally
