Role Description
This part-time, Program Coordinator role, administers a wide range of programs and
community initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Emerald Art Center, the program coordinator supports instructors, staff, and committee members affiliated with programs, and directly supervises
seasonal staff.
The Program Coordinator oversees planning and organizing of youth summer art camp, adult arts
programming, and volunteer activities. Programming Coordinator should be knowledgable of arts education programs and materials. The role also involves maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, managing program budgets, and assisting with outreach efforts to promote initiatives.This position is ideal for someone interested in utilizing or expanding their experience in arts education, member, gallery, and program management.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Program Management and Program Development to plan and execute multiple initiatives effectively
- Proficiency in Project Management to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables successfully
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with a diverse community of artists, members, and visitors
- Detail-oriented with organizational and time-management abilities
- Passion for the arts and experience in nonprofit or community-focused organizations
- Proficiency in administrative tools, basic budgeting, technology (Canva, Google forms, website management) and social media marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Arts Education, or a related field is preferred but not required
