Role Description
We are looking for junior photographers or content creators based in Connecticut for flexible, project-based restaurant content shoots.
This is not a full-time role. It is a freelance opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys food and restaurant photography, is building a portfolio, or wants to fill open spots in their schedule with paid projects.
We can work around your availability. Shoots may include food, beverages, restaurant interiors, ambiance, and other visual content needed for restaurant clients.
Professional commercial photography experience is not required, but candidates should have a good eye, be reliable, follow instructions well, and be comfortable creating clean visual content in restaurant environments.
Responsibilities
- Capture food, beverage, and restaurant ambiance photos during scheduled restaurant shoots.
- Follow basic creative direction and shot guidelines provided by the team.
- Arrive on time and communicate clearly before and after each shoot.
- Select and deliver usable images according to project requirements.
- Work professionally with restaurant staff and eMenu team members.
- Maintain flexibility for occasional project-based assignments.
Requirements
- Based in Connecticut
- Interest or experience in food, restaurant, lifestyle, product, or content photography.
- Good visual eye for composition, lighting, and clean presentation.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and reliability.
- Ability to work independently during shoots.
- Open to freelance, project-based compensation.
- Camera experience is preferred, but strong content creation skills may also be considered.
Nice to Have
- Experience shooting with a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
- Experience with Lightroom, Photoshop, or basic photo editing tools.
- Food, restaurant, hospitality, or social media content experience.
- Portfolio, Instagram, TikTok, or examples of previous visual work.
- Photography, media, marketing, or content creation background.
Compensation
Project-based compensation. Details will be discussed based on location, availability, and shoot requirements.
