This position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Applicants must live within a commutable distance to this location or be willing to relocate.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Design Engineer.  Responsibilities include:

• Conduct technical security assessments and recommend security upgrades.  

• Produce a variety of written documents including memoranda, trip reports, telegraphic communications with posts; and engineering surveys or service reports detailing specific engineering services planned or performed.

• Specify, design, procure, install equipment or products for technical security and information technology systems such as:

Technical systems/closed-ciucuit television, intrusion detection and alarms, locking devices, access

control and denial systems, countermeasures equipment, and acoustic/RF attenuation

technologies

Computer systems/encryption, firewalls, forensics, network intrusion monitoring, and system

security audit products

• ·Possess direct working knowledge of computer systems, computer security, and familiarity with operating systems, hardware platforms, and networks.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Related disciplines include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Three to give years of current experience in conducting technical security assessments, product evaluations, performing technical needs assessments and recommending security upgrades.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, MS Office, Vision and Auto CADD.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain a rapport and professional working relationships.
• Excellent writing and verbal skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a medical clearance prior to deployment and is a condition of continued employment.
• Travel between 25%-30% outside the continental United States, with the possibility of travelling to high threat locations.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Must live within a commutable distance to Alexandria, Virginia or be willing to relocate.
