EMCO is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support electrical systems, equipment, and facilities in a chemical distribution and industrial environment. This role includes installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in hazardous classified areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Perform electrical work in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations
- Install conduit, raceways, wiring, grounding, and control equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults using meters and test instruments
- Follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with NEC and local electrical codes
- Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow all safety policies
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational training as an electrician
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience working in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations
- Knowledge of NEC hazardous location requirements (Article 500/501)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred (Beneficial) Experience
- Industrial manufacturing or chemical facility experience
- PLC or control system familiarity (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Industrial networking or automation exposure (Ethernet/IP, Modbus)
- Electrical CAD or control panel experience
