Essential Functions
- With guidance, completes work orders such as moving and installing equipment, refrigerators/appliance, files, chairs, tables, boxes, etc., workstation/furniture adjustments, and performs furniture assembly as assigned.
- Sets up meeting rooms, conference rooms, dining rooms, and classrooms for daily functions.
- Perform routine detail of fleet cars and assists with shuttling fleet cars to mechanics for repairs
- Maintains the exterior of the campus. Picks up trash and debris from the parking garage and parking lots.
- Completes sidewalk maintenance, such as power-washing and snow removal. Maintains landscaping and minor irrigation repairs.
- Reports anomalies as noted to people leader
- Under supervision, completes assigned work orders, such as minor plumbing fixture repairs in restrooms, kitchens, and break rooms, minor electrical lighting repairs in office spaces and common areas, and/or other maintenance related tasks.
- Assists with filter replacements and HVACR repairs. With guidance performs maintenance on mail conveyors and related equipment.
- Performs work by following all local and national codes and regulations of safe work practices
- Completes corporate safety and learning courses assigned to facilities team.
- Shadows experienced facilities team members to learn company policies and procedures and gain experience in facilities.
- Consults experienced facilities technicians to gain understanding and best practices to build basic skills for performing routine tasks.
- Serves as a member of EMC’s Emergency Response Team for building and medical emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Experience or training/ education in building maintenance or related field preferred
- Possess or be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification through EMC in first year
- Basic technical knowledge of lighting equipment and plumbing systems
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, construction, installation, and other related functions
- Basic knowledge of door hardware and locking mechanisms
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work early or late based on shift schedules
- A valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving
