The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus is seeking two (2) Athletic Facilities and Event Management Interns. These internships offers a unique experience of working hands-on in all aspects of Athletics in a way that most major universities cannot offer.
Candidates will have a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the management of NCAA Division II athletic facilities. Candidates will be involved in all phases of facility management, gameday management, as well as day-to-day operations of the athletic department.
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work as game manager for any of the University’s 22 athletic programs.
- Assist in the coordination and production of internal & external special events.
- Aid in the production of athletic gameday setups, transitions, and breakdowns.
- Promote student employee success through the supervision and training of student support staff.
- Scheduling student support staff, maintaining payment records, and communicating event needs with student support staff.
- Perform indoor and outdoor facility upkeep and maintenance.
- Operate scorekeeping equipment, AV equipment, and limited heavy machinery.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree

- All other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Compensation:
The compensation of this position is $22,974.80 which will be paid bi-weekly and includes an optional University meal plan. This internship does NOT include any fringe benefits such as housing or health insurance.
Duration:
This internship will run until the end of June of 2026. Exact start & end dates are flexible.
