APCC/AMFT/ACSW Opening in Northern California-based Private Practice
Growing Northern California group practice is seeking a skilled registered APCC/AMFT or ACSW for a part-time role seeing clients virtually and in person at our Petaluma office. This is a fantastic opportunity for any Associate in Northern California looking to build a caseload while getting hours for licensure and learning the ins and outs of private practice. The successful candidate will receive quality weekly supervision from an experienced Licensed Therapist.
The ideal candidate for this position is/has:
- An APCC, AMFT, or ACSW with a registration number, in good standing with the BBS.
- Can commit to at least 1 year.
- Driven, independent and interested in working in a private practice and is excited about providing effective trauma treatment to adults.
- Highly organized, tech friendly, and an independent problem-solver.
- Eager to market themselves using a therapy directory, listservs, and other means. I will actively market and refer clients to you, but your caseload growth depends largely on your active marketing.
- Understanding of the expectation to build and maintain a caseload of 10 clients weekly.
- Organized in their scheduling of clients.
- Able to complete progress notes within 48 hours and by the end of each business week.
- Culturally attuned and open to seeing clients from diverse backgrounds.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual and/or in person individual psychotherapy to adults in accordance with California law and all relevant legal and ethical standards.
- Maintain all necessary client documentation using provided EHR (SimplePractice), e.g. informed consent, ROIs, progress notes, etc.
- Attend weekly virtual supervision sessions, prepared and in a timely manner.
- Stay current with their BBS registry and malpractice insurance coverage.
- Follow all current legal and ethical requirements regarding his/her/their work as a registered Associate per relevant California guidelines.
