Job Description
Embrace Life Inc is looking for a Assistant Director to join our team at our child care center in Edwards, IL. The Assistant Director will be responsible for helping with the supervision, coordination and evaluation of the center's activities and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong Christian Faith , and a background in child development, family or child care, experience in providing high quality services and knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
The Embrace Life Assistant Director Role will work with the Center Director in overseeing the daily operations of the Embrace Life Childcare Center. The Assistant Director will be in a class room as needed to assist in maintaining ratios and covering teacher breaks. Target Experience / Skills
1. Experience in a Daycare Center.
2. Experience Leading Reporting Daycare Teachers and Staff
3. High Availability, Innovative & Responsive
4. Experience with DCFS Representative Interactions, Approvals and Audits
5. Background/ willingness to learn Billing and Filing for Subsidy Pay
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Associates required; Bachelor's degree a plus
- 2 years of high quality experience preferred.
Responsibilities
1. Trusted collaborator with the Center Director
2. Assist the Center Director with daily daycare operations and all that is involved with the Daycare center.
3. Assist the Center Director with hiring, training, supervising, and managing schedules of Daycare Staff
4. Help oversee curriculum programs and standards
5. Maintain accurate Student and Staff Files
6. Develop and maintain parent/caretaker rapport
7. Licensing and Facility Management including but not limited to DCFS Licensing, inspections, permits, compliance and maintenance
8. Support teaching staff in-classroom as needed, covering breaks/absences and providing mentorship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
