Role:
Directs and supervises all tellers on the frontline, ensures that they are doing their jobs properly, provides prompt and professional service to members. Maintains a cash drawer; balances and audits cash drawers according to policy.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Supervises, schedules, and monitors daily activities of teller staff. Provides guidance, answers complex questions, and helps to resolve disputes. Performs transaction overrides, approves transaction exceptions, authorizes service fee refunds, and assists in resolving overages and shortages. Investigates losses and audits cash drawers.
- Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
- Hires, trains, develops, coaches and evaluates employee performance within the branch; recommends individual employment actions.
- Manages, balances, and audits vault cash, and other negotiable instruments. Orders cash requirement for the Credit Union.
- Monitors activities for compliance with established policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out-of-compliance issues.
- Manages and controls the vault and end-of-day branch balancing.
- Cross-sells Credit Union products and services.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- A high school education or GED.
- General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to operate encoding, coin counting, and cash counting machines. Assists, coordinates, manages, and directs others. Organizes work flow to accomplish established objectives, delegates tasks, ensures adequate training, evaluates subordinate effectiveness, and administers necessary discipline.
