Role Description The Front Desk Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Denver, CO. This position oversees day-to-day front desk operations, including check-in and check-out, handling reservations, and responding to guest inquiries in person, by phone, and via email. The supervisor ensures that front desk team members follow established procedures, maintain a high standard of customer service, and uphold hostel policies. Daily responsibilities include supervising and scheduling front desk staff, training new team members, resolving guest concerns, monitoring lobby cleanliness and safety, and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance. The Front Desk Supervisor also assists with cash handling, basic reporting, and implementing process improvements that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, with experience leading or coordinating front desk or hospitality teams.
- Proficiency in receptionist duties and front desk operations, including check-in/out, reservations, and guest communication.
- Excellent customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on resolving issues calmly and professionally.
- Professional phone etiquette and confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort using reservation or property management systems; basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, documents).
- Ability to work on-site in Denver, CO, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hostels, or hotels is preferred; experience in a supervisory or lead role is a plus.
