Seeking an experienced Manager of Economics & Planning to lead commercial optimization at a high-performing refinery in Oklahoma. This is a key leadership role focused on maximizing asset profitability through strategic planning, feedstock optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage refinery planning and optimization activities across feedstocks, operations, and product distribution
- Develop and communicate weekly, quarterly, and annual plans and performance reports to senior leadership
- Drive alignment across operations, maintenance, commercial, and midstream teams
- Optimize crude selection, operating conditions, and product blending to maximize margins
- Oversee and maintain LP models, scheduling tools, and planning systems
- Identify and implement new technologies and strategies to improve refinery profitability
- Collaborate with leadership on capital projects, crude supply strategies, and business development initiatives
- Mentor and develop the planning and optimization team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 6 years of experience in refining or process industries
- 3 years of experience in refinery planning, scheduling, or optimization
- Strong understanding of refinery operations and economics
- Experience with LP modeling, scheduling software, and crude assay tools preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
