This role supports daily cafeteria and café operations by processing transactions, assisting guests, and maintaining an organized and welcoming front-of-house environment.
Team members in this position are cross-trained to work seamlessly between the high-volume cafeteria service line and the lobby-facing café, adapting their service style to each space while upholding Ember Kitchen’s standards of professionalism and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process transactions using POS system
- Greet guests professionally and provide attentive service
- Answer menu questions and direct guests as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier stations
- Restock grabandgo items and assist with frontofhouse support
- Balance cash drawer and follow proper cashhandling procedures
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and café teams during peak periods
- Adapt service approach based on environment (cafeteria vs. café)
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Previous cashier or food service experience preferred
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
