Cashier

Reports to: Café ManagerPosition Summary

The Cashier / Front of House Associate is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and professional service across both Ember Kitchen and Café 257. This role supports daily cafeteria and café operations by processing transactions, assisting guests, and maintaining an organized and welcoming front-of-house environment.

Team members in this position are cross-trained to work seamlessly between the high-volume cafeteria service line and the lobby-facing café, adapting their service style to each space while upholding Ember Kitchen’s standards of professionalism and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process transactions using POS system
• Greet guests professionally and provide attentive service
• Answer menu questions and direct guests as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier stations
• Restock grabandgo items and assist with frontofhouse support
• Balance cash drawer and follow proper cashhandling procedures
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and café teams during peak periods
• Adapt service approach based on environment (cafeteria vs. café)
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
