Job Overview

A premier medical center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-volume Emergency Services unit. Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Application: Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room, meticulously utilizing the nursing process in adherence to the scope and standards of practice.
• Care Execution: Implement the plan of care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documentation: Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of patient care given.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team and family as appropriate.
• Patient Assistance: Assist patients with essential needs, including activities of daily living like hygiene and ambulation.
• Advocacy and Teamwork: Serve as the patient's advocate and collaborate across disciplines to coordinate transfer, discharge, and psychosocial support.

Requirements

• Education: Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license for the state of practice. Provisional license must be converted to full RN license within 6 months.
• Required Skills: Must possess critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the capability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Certifications:
• BLS and PALS within 30 days.
• ACLS and Behavioral Management training within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
