Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric care (70% or more of patient base)
- Foster a positive, welcoming environment that builds trust and encourages patient retention
- Participate in team huddles to plan daily goals and celebrate wins
- Promote oral health and the practice within the local community through educational outreach and engagement
- Utilize modern dental technology, including:
- DentaPro software
- Digital x-ray and Panorex systems
- Fiber-optic handpieces
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and emergency management procedures through regular training
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical support team:
- 1 hygienist, 1 hygiene assistant, and 2 dental assistants per provider
- Provide care across a patient base that includes children (ages 3–21) and up to 30% adult population
- Manage a patient flow averaging 10–12 operative and 20–25 hygiene appointments daily
- Work with a mix of state insurance plans, PPO, and out-of-network payors
Requirements
- DDS/DMD degree from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Current and valid license to practice dentistry in the state of employment (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certifications as required by state (e.g., CPR, DEA)
- Nitrous Oxide certification, if applicable in state (LA, MS, DC, TX, MA)
- Strong clinical skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Commitment to working with children and underserved populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a community-focused or high-volume dental practice
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute positively to a team-based environment
