Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agency Operations Manager to lead performance management, quoting infrastructure and operational excellence for our digital auto insurance agency platform. Sitting at the intersection of insurance, technology, and marketing, this role is ideal for a strategic operator who thrives in a high-growth, data-driven environment and understands the nuances of scaling digital insurance distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Product & Conversion Optimization:
- Own and optimize the performance of our multi-carrier quoting platform.
- Manage the business logic, decision rules, and consumer profile data that power our carrier and coverage recommendations.
- Sales, Retention & Service Operations Support:
- Support our licensed insurance agent teams through CRM configuration, campaign optimization and workflow automation.
- Enable high performance sales operations through tailored reporting and systems support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between agency operations and the marketing, product and engineering teams.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects as an operations stakeholder or project manager.
- Automation & Product Development:
- Work closely with product and engineering to define requirements, test features, and implement new functionality within our proprietary agent automation platform ("20x Agent").
- Carrier & Distribution Relationship Support:
- Assist in managing carrier and partner relationships by preparing performance reports, quoting analysis and book-level insights that drive partnership success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Insurance Expertise:
5 years in P&C insurance, with deep exposure to agency operations, auto insurance sales, or carrier partnerships. - Quoting API & Rater Tools Experience:
Strong understanding of comparative raters and quoting APIs, including integration experience with carriers or third-party vendors. - High-Volume Operations Background:
Operational leadership in insurtech or high-volume insurance agency (e.g. >$100M in annual written premium) is strongly preferred. - Technical Product or Ops Experience:
Experience in product or technical operations with demonstrated success collaborating with engineering and product teams. - Data & Reporting Competency:
Strong analytics and reporting capabilities, with fluency in building dashboards and informing strategy through data and analysis. - Licensing & Education:
- Active or former P&C insurance license required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Estimated travel of 10%
