Role Overview:
As a licensed agent at EI, you’ll enhance our digital sales and marketing capability by helping customers who need or prefer to engage an agent to purchase insurance. Because our technology builds quotes from a customer's existing insurance information, you’ll spend more time engaging clients and closing sales and less time on data entry and quoting. You'll also identify and cross-sell home and other lines, and help transition new business to our service team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound leads and follow up with prospective customers via phone, email, and SMS while leveraging our digital quotes and automation technology.
- Educate customers on auto insurance products, coverage options, and policy benefits.
- Use CRM and quoting tools to provide accurate, competitive quotes.
- Identify customer needs and guide them through the purchase process.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and conversion targets.
- Follow all compliance guidelines.
- Maintain detailed notes and pipeline activity in our CRM platform.
Requirements:
- Active P&C license (Property & Casualty) required.
- 1 year of experience in auto insurance sales (high volume call-center experience preferred)
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Comfortable using multiple systems and quoting tools simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote or hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at an insurtech, digital agency, or carrier.
- Familiarity with comparative raters (e.g., EZLynx, PL Rating) and CRM tools (e.g., AgencyZoom, EZLynx).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
