What You'll Be Doing
- Firmware Development: Design, code, and test new features in C/C for our ARM Cortex-M4 based products.
- System Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex bugs in existing embedded software and hardware systems using debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Hardware & Schematic Adjustments: Collaborate with the hardware team to review, adjust, and validate schematics and contribute to PCB design.
- System Optimization: Focus on creating robust and efficient firmware for low-power, battery-operated devices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field- .Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an embedded systems engineering role
- .Programming: Strong proficiency in C/C for embedded systems and Python for scripting, automation, and testing
- .Microcontrollers: Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M4 architecture and associated toolchains (e.g., Keil, IAR, GCC)
- .Hardware Comprehension: The ability to read and interpret component datasheets and schematics is essential
- .Communication Protocols: Solid understanding and practical experience with protocols such as UART, I2C, and SPI
- .Hardware Design: Proven experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and layout software (e.g., Altium, KiCad)
- .Low-Power Systems: Demonstrable experience working with embedded circuits and designing for low-power, battery-operated devices
- .Development Tools: Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
- .Test & Debug: Experience using standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters for debugging and validation
- .Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future
