Position Overview
Senior Systems Administrator to join our high-performing team, supporting our Intelligence Community customer. In this mission-critical role, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing the application ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems that directly enable intelligence operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the environment. Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Windows Server and RHEL across dev, test, staging, and production.
- Keep it healthy. Monitor performance and availability, troubleshoot complex OS and application issues, lead root cause analysis when something breaks.
- Automate the repetitive parts. Build and maintain PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts that cut manual effort out of daily operations.
- Stay accredited. Implement and sustain STIG compliance, remediate vulnerabilities alongside the security team, and support RMF accreditation activities.
- Own the infrastructure fundamentals. Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, VMware vSphere, backup and disaster recovery.
- Work directly with the customer. Coordinate maintenance windows, respond to operational tasking, and document what you build so the next person isn't guessing.
You'll participate in an on-call rotation. Maintenance windows sometimes fall outside business hours. That's the job at this level.
What You Need Clearance:
Active TS/SCI and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination. US citizenship required per contract.
Experience: 8 years of enterprise systems administration, including mission-critical DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
Technical depth in:
- Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- VMware vSphere
- Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- STIG implementation and RMF security controls
