Summary: Community Relations & Engagement helps connect the community to EmBe’s mission and programs. This role serves as a welcoming ambassador for EmBe, building meaningful relationships, sharing our story, and helping families and individuals discover opportunities to learn, grow, and belong through EmBe programs. Through community outreach, partnerships, and events, this position plays a key role in increasing awareness and participation across all EmBe program areas.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Ensure EmBe mission, vision, values, culture, and expectations are reflected in all interactions.
- Reinforce and lead a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement. Mentor the attitude of honesty and mutual respect. Model professionalism, accountability, and personal responsibility to staff, students, and customers.
- Build authentic relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and local partners.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that help expand access to EmBe programs.
- Represent EmBe in the community through meetings, networking events, and collaborative initiatives.
- Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador for EmBe in the community.
- Share information about EmBe programs with families, community members, and partner organizations.
- Conduct presentations and attend community events to help people learn how they can connect with EmBe.
- Plan and coordinate outreach and promotional events that highlight EmBe programs and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote programs and ensure community members are aware of opportunities available to them.
- Help share EmBe’s story and impact in ways that inspire community participation.
- Help connect individuals and families with the right EmBe programs to meet their needs.
- Support efforts to grow enrollment and participation across all program pillars.
- Track outreach activities and identify opportunities to reach new audiences.
- Work closely with program and marketing teams to ensure outreach efforts align with organizational goals.
- Bring community insights and feedback back to EmBe teams to help strengthen programs and outreach efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2–4 years of experience in community outreach, partnerships, marketing, or nonprofit engagement.
- Experience in community engagement, outreach, relationship building, nonprofit work, or marketing preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse groups and representing the organization publicly.
- Organized and proactive with the ability to coordinate events and outreach activities.
- Passion for community impact and the mission of EmBe.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to see, speak, and hear
- Frequent sitting and use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or reach
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional need to climb, balance, kneel or crouch
- Vision abilities include distance and close vision

- Work is primarily performed in an indoor office environment.
