Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals in accordance with our menu. The Cook will be responsible for preparing food, following food health and safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service establishment
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and menu specifications
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; a culinary certificate is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring
- Cook food according to recipes, menus, and special dietary or nutritional restrictions
- Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality standards
- Plate and garnish dishes before serving
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
- Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production
Schedule
- This position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the hotel.
