Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest areas, ensuring a pristine environment that enhances the overall guest experience. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our hotel, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and floor care duties using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to maintain high standards of sanitation.
• Handle cleaning tasks across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and service areas, ensuring all spaces are spotless and well-maintained.
• Manage custodial responsibilities such as vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and sanitation of surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, including safety data sheets (SDS) protocols and chemical handling guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by coordinating with housekeeping staff to ensure timely cleaning schedules and room readiness.
• Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and functionality at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial/custodial roles within hospitality environments.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols related to chemical handling and heavy lifting.
• Proficiency in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
